Hardcover Binding Preparation

  • We produce solid cardboard cover boards with thicknesses ranging from 1 to 4mm:
  • All made of paper (laminated, UV spot varnished)
  • Made of cloth (hot stamped)
  • Made from cloth (laminated, UV, stamped)
  • Cover mounting machines:
  • Kolbus DA 270
  • Cover hot stamping machine: Kolbus PE 312

 

Hardcover Binding Production

  • Complete modern two-shot binding line.
  • When gluing the textblock spine together, the spine is also coated with dispersion and hot melt adhesives. The line allows to produce perfect binding, either sewn or glued, with flat or round
  • spine featuring very high strength and visual properties:
  • Sigloch SB-6000 perfect binder (including attachment of endsheets)
  • KOLBUS HD 140 P three-knife trimmer
  • Kolbus COMPACT 60 BF 526 – attachment of textblock to the cover
  • The binding line can also ‘accommodate’ the Sigloch LEH-1 ribbon inserter (up to four ribbons).
